Welcome to our web site. The Machinists Union represents over 6000 members throughout the state of Tennessee, in over 40 workplaces. We hope this website is a resource for both our members and our visitors.

The IAM is one of the most democratic unions in America. Our officers are elected from the ground up off the shop floor.  Our members do all types of work. We have expertise in most types of workplaces, from manufacturing to Service Contract to government employees.
